David England became pastor of Oak Hill Baptist Church in September 2021. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He married his high school sweetheart, the girl up the street, Angie, in 1980 and they have been happily married for over 42 years. They have five children, four of whom are married. They have seven grandchildren who they greatly love and enjoy spending time with. David is a retired Air Force Veteran of 20 years. He surrendered to full-time Christian ministry in 1999 after his Air Force retirement and became Minister of Students at East End Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi. He has served as a pastor at First Baptist Church, Tucumcari, NM and Taft First Baptist, TN. He was selected as the Director of Missions for the William Carey Baptist Association, Fayetteville, TN, where he served for almost three years.
David is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, holding a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Biblical Studies.
David has a love for Christ, his family, the Lord’s church, and those who do not know Jesus. He has a passion for God’s Word, the Bible, and teaching it in such a way that people can understand and apply to their life. He has a love for all ages and yearns to see people come know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and to grow in their relationship with Him. His life verse is Psalm 1.
